Kalinga, sa Katutubo: An Advocacy for Indigenous People

PROJECT NAME: Indigenous People: Ating Kababayan, Ating Isalba. Pinoy Ako, Katutubo ka, Tayo'y Iisa.


INTRODUCTION: This project for Indigenous People aims to give them voice and freedom, we want to give them something to use to let the public know that they exist for a reason and they deserve a better kind of living, without discrimination and abuse, since they've been living with it for a long time. Also we'll provide basic needs and shelter to enhance their living. Basically, we're here to be one with the Indigenous People, we dug deeper to know what are the challenges that the Indigenous people get, by that we're helping them build that movement to serve equality and protection, for their safe place. We're looking forward to seeing unity between us and the Indigenous people, because of this project in the future.


PURPOSE: The goal and the reason why this project was made is for the Indigenous people to have opportunities and freedom, we want them to show the world that they have talents, skills and knowledge. We're here to help them with their growth, and they've been living with us for years, but there is a boundary that sets us away from them. We want to break, it's time for us to recognize them. They live a very hard life in the mountains, that's why we're here to reach them and provide their needs, also to empower them, give them voice and power to make a change. This project will go for a long process, but as long as we have our providers this can work little by little.


DESCRIPTION: This project will give a proper representation of Indigenous people, we'll showcase their talents and culture to show the world that they have uniqueness and abilities within. We'll build a safe space for Indigenous people to have their voices heard and abilities seen, with that it will be a message to the world that being who they are doesn't make them less of a person. We will also destroy the stereotypes and thinking about them, that they can't have something because of their life status, we will be their ally and friends along this journey fighting for their rights and freedom, that there is also space for them. This project will be possible without your help, that's why we're planning to have a gathering at the Philippine Christian University Dasmariñas at the Gymnasium near the Elementary building, and for those participants that are far from the venue, they can join in the Online broadcast in  our Facebook page "Kalinga, sa Katutubo", on May 20, 2024, from 7am to 5pm, we're providing foods for our attendees, the event will cover the reason and goal of this project, and also the process. SUPPORT: The estimated budget needed for this project to be effective and to reach a lot of Indigenous people groups is ranging from 80,000 to 100,000 php. This includes the foods, transportation to the mountains, papers, programs and other related fees.

Cupcake & Me ૮ • ﻌ - ა৻( •̀ ᗜ •́ ৻)

When I met Cupcake, I was overwhelmed by her cuteness and fluffiness  her breed was a Bichon Frise , and I'm amazed by he r personality as an introverted and friendly dog because she is so nice and shows affection, she plays with every person in our house, and she only barks when she's excited or when left alone and what I really like about her is she is playful and energetic every day. She likes being the center of attention and often plays with the kids inside. I love her energy because I know that it matches mine, every time we interact she welcomes me with her paws and tongue, and she loves licking faces and jumping on their arms 'cause she likes to be carried. The other part of Cupcake that I like is her fur which makes her fluffy and squishy, which triggers me to carry, hug, and kiss her.
